The City of Hämeenlinna started to use Spatineo Monitor at the end of the last year to monitor the availability and analyse the use of their spatial web services. The trial period last fall proved that the WMS service of the city has more users and it is used more widely than expected. Inspired by this, the city decided to continue monitoring. The Spatineo Monitor usage analytics revealed that in addition to the internal use of the city, the service is utilised by several partners. According to Kari Jokela, a GIS planner at the City of Hämeenlinna, the results of the monitoring support the executed investments and encourage them to further develop their spatial web services.
