Kristian Jaakkola, Managing director, founded Spatineo together with Ilkka Rinne in January 2011.
2.) What do you do at Spatineo in practice? Tell us about your typical work day!
My responsibilities cover everything that happens at Spatineo including sales, marketing, management, strategy, international expansion, product management as well as financial administration and human resources. There is no typical work day because the days varies a lot. Most days I typically spend communicating with the customers either by telephone or online. Internal and external meetings are also a typical part of my work.
3.) What is the best thing about your work?
The best thing about my work is the excellent team and the spirit at Spatineo as well as the co-operation with our current and future customers.
4.) If you are a tourist in a foreign city, which map service do you use? Why?
As a tourist (and also when travelling on business) I use Google Maps. That’s because it was one of the first web map services and it has become very familiar to me. Thus it’s the easiest one for me to use and I don’t need to look for other map services for each situation. I also print out Google Map pages for cases where there’s no internet connection available.
